What is the Spooky Funfest?

A family day out filled with a wide range of fun interactive games and spooky activities. The Funfest will encourage you and your children to create, explore, dance, play, discover and laugh! For more information, take a look at the Activities page.

When is the Spooky Funfest?

Our Spooky Funfest will take place across two days from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 24th October 2021.

What time does it start and finish?

The Spooky Funfest will open at 11am and finish at 4:30pm on each day.

Where is it happening?

The event will take place on the grounds of The Letchworth Centre For Healthy Living, Hitchin Rd, Letchworth Garden City SG6 3NA. 

How do I get there?

Is there a car park?

Yes. There are a limited number of parking spaces at the Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living. The parking has to be pre-booked and paid for during the purchase of your tickets.  Please see the Getting Here page​ for more information on parking and travel.

Who is it aimed at?

Although the event activities are aimed at children from 6 months to 10 years, we aim to create fun for the whole family. The Spooky Funfest will be a fun and magical place, which will inspire and create incredible memories that last for years to come. Parents and carers are more than welcome to get their faces painted too!

Does my baby need a ticket?

Children under 6-months are free of charge but they do still need a valid ticket to gain entry.

Do I need to bring a ticket with me?

While we do not publish physical tickets for the event, you will be required to show proof of valid ticket purchase in order to gain entry into the event. You can print out a copy of your booking confirmation or show us the purchase details on your phone.

What activities are included in the ticket price?


All activities are included in the ticket price apart from:

  • Spooky Trail

  • Bounce Zone

  • Face Painting and Kids Tattoos

These activities are charged separately. Tickets for the Spooky Trail can be purchased in advance.

 

How many times can we go on each activity?

As many times as you like! Time limits may be introduced on very popular activities to ensure everyone has to opportunity to participate. In the event of a time limit system being introduced, attendees will be permitted to rejoin the queue as many times as they wish.

Does an adult need a ticket to enter Spooky Trail?

Adults do not need to purchase a ticket to enter the Spooky Trail with a child. However, they will need to present a valid entry ticket to Spooky Funfest.

Can I purchase tickets for Spooky Trail only?

No. As the Spooky Trail is a part of Spooky Funfest, you must have a valid admission ticket to Spooky Funfest to be able to enter the Spooky Trail.

Can I purchase Spooky Trail ticket on the day?

Yes, as long as the tickets are still available.

Do I need to bring cash?

While we prefer card payments, you can opt to pay with cash if you wish. Please note that there are no cash points onsite or in close proximity to the venue.

Can I buy a pumpkin at the event?

Yes! Spooky Funfest includes a fantastic pumpkin patch to explore. This will be offering a huge selection of pumpkins for you to choose from. There will be two separate batches of fresh pumpkins; one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Each batch will feature the same range of pumpkins. These will be available to purchase on the day on a first come, first served basis.

Can I bring my dog/cat/Gruffalo/unicorn?

Unfortunately, no pets or animals are allowed on site with the exception of registered guide dogs.

Can I bring my own food?

While you are welcome to bring your own food, the covered seating in the large marquees and the seating area in the café will be restricted to those who have purchased food and drinks at the event. There will be a delicious array of snacks, treats and meals available for purchase at the event. No alcohol is permitted onsite.

Is there a baby changing area?

Yes, there will be baby changing facilities at the event.

Can I bring a pushchair?

Please do feel free to bring a pushchair for your little ones. However, we ask you not to take them inside the event building as space is limited and they may restrict or block access to fire exits. A covered buggy park will be provided. Please also note that, much of the event takes places on grass which may make pushing a pushchair difficult, particularly in wet weather.

What accessibility provisions does the event have?

There are a number of disabled parking spaces available at the site. Spaces must be booked in advance and a blue badge must be displayed. There is one disabled toilet onsite.

Customers requiring assistance during the event will be entitled to apply for one free pass for their Personal Assistant/Support worker. Proof of middle or higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility must be presented to Ticketline

Please be advised that there is limited space inside the event building. Outside, the site grounds could pose problems for mobility (particularly in wet weather).

Can I leave the site and then come back in?

Yes, you will be allowed to re-enter the site as long as you can show valid ticket purchase upon re-entry.

What happens if it rains?

A bit of rain won’t stop our fun! The event will still proceed if the weather is wet. While many of the activities are indoors or outside under marquees, a large part of the event is outdoors without cover. As such, we advise you to come prepared with coats and wellies. Please note, for safety reasons, Jolly Lemon Events reserves the right to suspend the Bounce Zone activity during adverse weather conditions.

Who do I contact about lost property?

Any Lost Property that has been handed to the Spooky Funfest staff onsite, will be collected and kept for a period of one month. If you have lost something at the Funfest, please send us an email with a detailed description of the lost item along with a contact telephone number and we will let you know if it has been found.

What happens if Spooky Funfest is unable to take place in 2021?

Ticket holders would be given the option to roll over their tickets to be used on one of our 2022 events or receive a refund from the ticket provider. Please refer to Ticketline’s ticket purchase policy.

What additional safety measures will be in place for Spooky Funfest?

The safety of our attendees and staff is of paramount important to us. We will be closely monitoring the rules and regulations regarding the Covid-19 pandemic in order to ensure that the correct safety measures are put into place for the event.

What happens if we are unable to travel due to government COVID-19 restrictions? 

Ticket holders would be given the option to roll over their tickets to be used on one of our 2022 events or receive a refund from the ticket provider. Please refer to Ticketline’s ticket purchase policy.

What happens if I or someone in my group tests positive for COVID-19?

If a Ticketholder tests positive for Covid-19 then they and any other Ticketholder under the same booking would be given the option to roll over their tickets to be used on one of our 2022 events or receive a refund from the ticket provider. Please refer to Ticketline’s ticket purchase policy.

What are the dates for the 2022 Spooky Funfest?

The dates for 2022 are to be confirmed.
